Front Entry Hall 

The White children spent a lot of their time in this
room as they were not allowed in the parlor or dining
room except on special occasions.
Items Of Interest...
- The casket entry door which is 4 feet wide to
allow a coffin to be carried through. Funeral
services were held in homes.
- Beveled glass windows, set in leaded framework
flank the entry door.
- Lighted plaque list names of donors who gave
$1000 or more for the establishment of the museum.
- Mrs. White's piano from her girlhood. It was made
of Circassian walnut by Decker Brothers of New York
in 1889.
- Lighted bronze statue at bottom of banister
called "Libelule" and is made by French sculptor A.
deRainieri.
- Stained glass window at the top of the stairs
is a European scene bordered by American made glass.
It was once lighted naturally until the back of
the house was added in 1916.
- The main light fixture is made to use either
electricity or gas. Many of the fixtures in the house
are so designed.
